G4 Tequila is the culmination of tradition, innovation, and passion for agave. The Camarena Family has been making tequila since 1937, one of the founding families to Los Altos in Jesus Maria, Arandas. Harvesting agave and crafting some of the world’s best tequilas for generations. His family heritage, combined with his engineering background, has led to a distillery like none other at El Pandillo.

how g4 was created
G4 was created alongside Felipe’s sons Alan and Luis, who are now the fourth generation of distilling tequila and will continue the legacy of what is to be a Camarena. Felipe is uncompromising in crafting pure luxury tequila by both honoring traditions like copper stills and stone ovens and using only mature agave plants from their own estate, but also innovating by distilling with harvested rainwater, natural spring water, and creating stone ovens that evenly cook the tequila, taking out the internal “male parts” of the agave to remove bitterness, recycling the cooked agave and turning it into fertilizer.
el pandillo
The name of the distillery, El Pandillo was the name of Felipe’s grandfather’s favorite bull. The tahona stone that sits at the distillery entrance was the only surviving piece of what would have been their family’s distillery during the Mexican Revolution. Known as the mad scientist, Felipe’s undeniable passion for making great tequila shows in the juice’s quality.
